Cozy N342RM nearing completion in my garage in Grafton, MA

COMPLETION !

• Rollout occurred on July 20, 1996 at which time the aircraft was transported to the airport.

• MAJOR HURDLE CLEARED!! On August 23, 1996 N342RM was inspected for airworthiness and a special airworthiness certificate was issued.

• The aircraft underwent low speed and high speed taxi testing during early September 1996.

• The first flight occurred at approximately 5:00 P.M. on Monday September 16, 1996. Wind light, high overcast, temperature about 68 degrees F., traffic was light. The flight lasted about 20 minutes. The aircraft was found to be fully controllable and stable in pitch and roll. The approach and landing were normal except for the inability to keep the landing brake deployed. WHAT A THRILL!

• Flight test period completed June 9, 1997 Since then we have taken trips to Nantucket, MA; Provincetown, MA; Oshkosh, WI and Saratoga Springs, NY. My honest opinion so far: These airplanes are truly a joy to travel in!
